The sad passing of one of our League founders
It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I post the following notice.
The Northern U19 Alliance League (formerly known as the Northern Youth Academy) was founded in 1996.
One of the leading lights of the League was Pat Rice, then of Farsley Celtic.
His foresight and ideas helped to establish and run the League and despite not being so actively involved recently he was always available as mentor and advisor to anyone wishing to talk football especially our U19 League.
Regrettably on Saturday 6th November his shining light was extinguished.
Pat passed away at home surrounded by his wife and family.
At this sad time our thoughts and prayers are with wife Sue and their family.
Details of the funeral arrangements will be posted as soon as they become available.

I am doing 'Race for Life' in July in memory of my darling sister Pamela and my dearest friend Mr Pat Rice who both sadly lost their battle against cancer.
Just a year ago I struggled to walk from the carpark into work and now look at me!!!
