URGENT VENUE INFORMATION: BIRCHALL, TRUBSHAW X, POPLAR DRIVE, MILLHAYES: BIRCHALL LEEK: Due to the re-building of the pavilion at Birchall a significant number of car parking places have been lost. Following complaints from local residents and visits from the Police a number of options have been looked into to alleviate this problem. I am pleased to confirm The Co-operative Group have allowed us to use the car park of the Britannia Building Society. This is the building on the same side as Birchall and can accommodate a significant number of cars. It is on a temporary basis and will be reviewed after four weeks. For it to continue after this period The Co-op have requested the following measures are put into place; Cars are to park in the marked out bays. Mud must not be left on the car park (there is plenty of opportunity for people to knock their boots within Birchall). Birchall must be accessed by the gate at the top of Birchall or the car park entrance and people should not climb over any fencing due to potential damage to the Co-op boundaries and for insurance purposes. The police have informed us that anyone parking on the grass opposite Birchall will be given a parking ticket as this is private land. Your co-operation in this matter will be much appreciated to ensure all visitors to Birchall on a Sunday are able to park in the future and local residents are not disrupted. POPLAR DRIVE BLURTON: On September 18th there were major problems with parking. As from 25th September cars can only enter the school through Poplar Drive and will exit through Oakwood Road until further notice there will be someone there to direct parking. Under no circumstances can anyone park their cars in Poplar Drive. TRUBSHAW CROSS: Due to the development of the new Academy at Brownhills High School as of 7th March 2011 we will no longer have the use of the bottom car park (Redgra area) We still have the use of the top car park, although we ask that you please park in a considerate manner, there is also the Builder's Merchant's car park in Westport Road. There is also on street parking along Westport Road and Federation Road, please be aware of any double yellow lines or other parking restrictions. We will be making slight changes to kick off times to help alleviate the parking difficulties that may arise as teams arrive for late kick off's. We are also hoping that within a few weeks of the work commencing that we will be able to secure the use of John Baskeyfield VC Primary School to provide additional parking. Please park considerately, legally and please be mindful of our neighbours. MILLHAYES, BIDDULPH:There have been complaints regarding cars being parked on the footpath at Millhayes Playing Fields, Biddulph. On Sunday 23rd January 3 cars completely blocked the footpath & received parking tickets, it is requested that all cars are moved into the car park as soon as the early ko's have gone.POPLAR DRIVE, BLURTON: There is building work being done at the school at Poplar Drive, Blurton, please be aware of this when entering the school grounds & be careful & sensible when parking. Teams & their spectators are leaving a large amount of mud on the school car park at Poplar Drive, Blurton on Sunday's, banging their boots as they walk through, also banging boots at the rear of their parked cars. If it doesn't stop the consequencies could be that the school may ban car parking on the school premises then that will be disastrous for those teams playing there. |

LEAGUE WELFARE OFFICER STATEMENT We have received a number of complaints recently relating to the use of "Facebook". As a result of the complaints I am now receiving telephone calls from people who are appearing to be seeking to "get even" or to "smoke screen" the issue and this is fast becoming a war zone between two football teams. This is completely unacceptable behaviour and against everything that Ladsandads stands for and shows scant regard for the "CODE OF CONDUCT & RESPECT" to which everyone signed up for and agreed to comply with. I must point out to anyone who uses Facebook that it is not a media through which to carry out petty arguments and should not be used by anyone under 16 years of age. Any person who makes insulting, abusive, offensive or inciting comments in their conversations are in breach of the "Terms and Conditions of Facebook", together with a breach of the North Staffs Junior Youth League and FA CODE OF CONDUCT & RESPECT PROGRAMME. Equally it is obvious that no adult should be conversing or arguing with children through Facebook. Further, I advise that it is strictly in breach of our League rules to publish on the Internet (Facebook) photographs/images of children. Anyone who has involved themselves in any of the aforementioned, should immediately remove from Facebook, or any other media, all such materials, including conversations and photographs of children. Failure to comply with the North Staffs Junior Youth League Rules, together with the CODE OF CONDUCT & RESPECT and FA Welfare guidelines can result in sanctions against Clubs, Teams or individuals and may even lead to prosecution in certain instances. Please remember, as I have clearly stated before, that Respect is a two way street and should be afforded to everybody by everybody involved in our beautiful game at all times both on and off the field of play and this should also iclude through any media. Will each Branch please confirm that this statement has been distributed to ALL CLUBS, TEAMS & CLUB WELFARE OFFICERS and will each team please ensure that it is distributed to all their member parents. |
