St Ives Town  2    Long Buckby  1

Saturday, 13 October 2007

Buckby's winning run was halted as the home side cemented third place in the Premier table.

Ben Foster gave the Bucks the lead a minute past the half hour, pouncing to score after Rob Mackney could only push a back pass from Dan Newman into the air, but the Saints were quick to respond with an equaliser from Graeme Thackray who cut inside to score with a left foot shot six minutes later after Jamie Blackwell's effort was blocked.

Barry Albone's 63rd minute effort from a late run into the box won the game for St Ives.
