Potton have been a bogey side for S&L in recent seasons but the hoodoo was well and truly overturned on this occasion.

A solitary Richard Forbes goal, a tap in on the quarter hour split the sides at the interval but S&L found their goal touch with a vengeance in the second period.

Bobby Drain scored S&L's second after 49 minutes, firing home from close range after Forbes had a header blocked. Forbes netted again a minute before the hour with a far post volley from Matty O'Neill's cross. Late strikes from Greig McIlwain on 80 minutes after Brennan's effort was blocked, and substitute Michael Chong who sprang the offside trap on 84 minutes completed the rout.

S&L: Richard Lavin, Trevor Duncan, Paul Djeneralovic, Gareth Robb, John Mackay, Greig McIlwain, Matty O'Neill, Lee Garvie (Matty Graham), Bobby Drain (Derek Simmons), Richard Forbes (Michael Chong), Sean Brennan.
