Stotfold  0    Tonbridge Angels  5

Saturday, 13 October 2007

Stotfold found the two division gap between themselves and Ryman Premier outfit Tonbridge Angels too big a gap to bridge at Roker.

Tonbridge had their place in the final qualifying round signed sealed and delivered within half an hour of the start.

Hamid Barr opened the scoring after nine minutes, chipping home keeper Scott Waters from the edge of the box, and he added a second 23 minutes in, heading in John Main's centre.

Main put his name on the scoresheet on the half hour after a solo run on the left.

Ian Morrison and Paul Garrett had second half chances for Stotfold but they lacked a cutting edge on the day.

Main had the last word with two further strikes late on, scoring after 84 minutes, a header from a corner, and 88 minutes with ashot from the edge of the box.

Stotfold: Scott Waters, Ryan Nicholl, Mark Bryant, Colin Shambrook, Tawhid Juneja, Luke Donnelly, Ian Morrison (Keith Coughlin), Louis Lee (Bobby Dance), Joel Mason, Lee Allinson, Paul Garrett (Callum Donnelly).
