Saturday, 25 August 2012

The Tulips snatched victory in dramatic style against the reigning champions at Station Road.

After a scoreless first half Danny Rogers gave Buckby a 50th minute lead with a 30 yard strike.

A headed Callum Earls own goal extended the Buckby advantage after 65 minutes.

Buckby had Leo Adams dismissed for a second caution after bringing down Tom James and Scott Musgrove reduced the arrears after 70 minutes.

The Bucks were reduced to nine men by the dismissal of their goalkeeper Ash Malhotra for dissent after he claimed Tulips sub Jacob Joyce had bundled him off the ball in scoring the 75th minute equaliser.

With five minutes to play villain turned hero as Earls completed the Tulips comeback with a decisive goal which took Spalding to the head of the table.
