Both these Lincolnshire sides have four points out of six after sharing the spoils in this pulsating thriller at Tattershall Road.

The Poachers went ahead twelve minutes in through Shane Clancy who latched onto a short header back from Callum Earls.

When Spalding replied the post denied Ash Stevens a leveller.

Two of the Tulips' seasoned campaigners were on the scoresheet as they grabbed the initiative.

Lee Canoville equalised after 23 minutes with a header from a Francis Green cornerand five minutes later Spalding were in front through number three of the season from Green who finished off after Shane Tolley's 25 yard effort was saved by Michael Emery.

It was all square at the interval though, Matt Barber levelling for Boston over 35 minutes, rounding Nick Conroy and scoring with an angled shot.

Boston debutant Simon Mowbray twice hit the bar against one of his former clubs on resumption.

The home side went in front for the second time after 56 minutes, Lorand Borbely finding the target with a header from a Sam Kirton cross.

Ex-Boston man Tom James squared the contest firing a Spalding leveller just inside the post seven minutes past the hour.
