Clevedon Colts started well in difficult conditions and ended up by beating Fry Colts 4 : 1. Lee Brice and Liam Hall dominated the midfield for Clevedon and Frys rarely got out there own half and it was only a matter of time before Dave Banks converted the first of his hat trick when the pinpoint passing of Brice put him through to score his first. The second came in exactly the same way and then it was Brices turn to score with a well hit shot that gave the keeper no chance. Clevedon three up at the break continued into the second half with Joe Bennett and Luke Mortimore linking well on the right hand side and Kenny Sandy and Jason Bailey on the left. Frys were put under considerable pressure and Banks scored his hat trick. Frys held on even though they were under intense pressure and were able to get a consolation goal in the last minute. Clevedons defence of Chris Reilly, Bennett, Sandy, were in excellent form and keeper Matt Boyles gave another fine display. |
