Daventry United  0    Raunds Town  2

Saturday, 18 August 2007

After losing their first two league games this looked a potential banana skin for the Shopmates but they avoided an upset thanks to two first half goals. Danny Frid gave Raunds the lead after twelve minutes, running through the home defence to collect Ashley Bradshaw's pass to chip keeper Andy Millard, with Jake Upton adding a second ten minutes before the interval, breaking through before sliding the ball under the home custodian.

In the second half United's Tommy Waldock had the ball in the net only to be denied by the offside flag.
