Huntingdon Town 1 Buckingham Town 4
Saturday, 22 September 2007
Relegated Buckingham picked up their first win in Division One with this demolition of high riding hosts Huntingdon at Jubilee Park.
Debutant Joel McCormick was the inspiration for the Robins with a hat trick.
The former Newport Pagnell man opened the scoring after twelve minutes and two goals late in the first have gave Buckingham a stranglehold on the game. McCormick scored his second after 40 minutes and sixty seconds later Ben Clarke added a third.
McCormick completed his hat trick ten minutes from time with Chris Caswell scoring an 85th minute Huntingdon consolation. Adam Taylor and Nicky Young were both thwarted by the frame of the goal in a much improved home display after the interval.
