St Ives Town  2    Deeping Rangers  4

Tuesday, 08 April 2008

St Ives' outside chance of a second placed finish were damaged by this home defeat as they were outgunned by outgoing champions Deeping.

David Burton-Jones gave Deeping a 17th minute lead with a header but St Ives responded with a double strike from Jamie Blackwell who converted two good crosses after 19 and 25 minutes.

Danny Matson was Deeping's second half matchwinner. He equalised after 47 minutes after turning smartly to create the chance and then gave Rangers the lead five minutes later, rounding off a good build up.

Matson completed his hat trick seven minutes from time, heading home to seal Deeping's success.
