Town christened their new floodlights with as demolition of their neighbours which leaves United facing the prospect of taking at least four points from two matches with Peterborough Northern Star to finish second.

Town grabbed the initiative from the off taking a second minute lead through Danny Nelson who latched onto a through ball to chip United keeper Roger Leeson.

Josh O'Grady added a 21st minute second with a 30 yard free kick and Nelson made it three twelve minutes later, firing home a right foot shot from the edge of the box to punish a Ross Irvine mistake.

Tom Berwick completed the scoring after 62 minutes, outpacing his marker and beating Leeson at the near post for his 28th goal of the campaign.
