Star completed a double over the Lankies as they strengthened their challenge for the Division One runners up medals.

Karl Gibbs was closest to a first half goal for Star, hitting the post early on.

A 56th minute goal from in form marksman Ryan Francis was enough to give Star victory, the former St Neots man heading in an Eddie Patten centre.

Late on Tom Woods handled an Adam Scotcher effort on the line and was sent off, but Michael Freeman saved Gibbs' spot kick.
