Buckby stepped up their bid for a top two finish as they completed a double over the Swans at Station Road.

Newport were reduced to ten men by Vinny Shrieves's dismissal for a late challenge on Stuart Smeathers on the half hour.

Jon Crockett broke the deadlock from a Ryan Nash cross in the last minute of the first half, and Buckby strengthened their grip on the game with second half goals from Russ Dunkley who headed home on 63 minutes and Carl Holmes with a close range header on 79.

Rob Macdonald scored a Newport consolation nine minutes from the end.
