Long Buckby  2    Blackstones  2

Saturday, 22 March 2008

Second met third at Station Road and the outcome was a point apiece.

Dan Cotton gave Stones the lead after eight minutes but a Carl Holmes double turned the game Buckby's way.

Holmes levelled from a Steve Blackwood cross after twelve minutes and then put his side ahead from a Blackwood corner two minutes before the half hour.

Stones squandered a number of good openings in the remainder of the first half.

Phil Stebbing hauled Blackstones on terms eight minutes into the second half, slipping his marker to fire past Paul Warnecki in the home goal.
