Sleaford Town  3    Northampton Spencer  2

Saturday, 15 March 2008

Sleaford produced the comeback of the day to deny Spencer a double at Eslaforde Park.

A bright start by the Millers brought them goals from Kevin Slinn, an eight yard volley after two minutes, and Steve Jelley who latched onto a long ball to fire home seven minutes later.

Tom Siddons started the Sleaford fightback a minute before the break, scoring from close range after good work on the left by Matt Lunn.

Lunn squared the contest with a 67th minute equaliser, collecting an Adam Fenton pass and turning his marker to score with a cross shot, and the turnaround was completed by Darren Glover's 81st minute effort for Sleaford. The central defender headed in a Matt Hidgkin free kick to give his side victory.
