Yaxley  0    Long Buckby  5

Saturday, 15 March 2008

The Cuckoos were swept aside by the goal hungry Bucks at Leading Drove.

There was an early let off for Yaxley as John Feetham saved a Richard Bunting spot kick.

The visitors took an early grip on proceedings when Russ Dunkley opened the scoring after nine minutes in, heading in off the crossbar after Steve Blackwood's corner was flicked on by Jon Crockett at the near post.

That opeer was followed four minutes later by a second from Crockett who headed in a Darren Lynch cross.

Darren Harmon added a third from the penalty spot nine minutes into the second half following a foul on Lynch and Buckby wasted little time in sealing victory with further goals from Carl Holmes who rounded off good work by Crockett after 63 minutes and Darren Lynch who finished confidently three minutes later after the best move of the match saw Crockett, Dunkley and Holmes combine.
