Harborough Town 1 Spalding United 5
Saturday, 22 September 2012
Promoted Harborough are now the only Premier side without a win after falling victims to the Tulips' array of firepower.
Dan Cotton set the ball rolling for Spalding with a low shot after eleven minutes, and four minutes later Shane Tolley's 9th goal of the season strengthened the Tulips' grip on proceedings. The master marksman rounded off a five man move with Francis Green supplying the cross.
Harborough debutant Casey Logan put his side back in the game with a well taken goal after 58 minutes, but Green restored the two goal margin six minutes later, finishing a Tolley cross from a prone position.
Late strikes from Tom James with a 40 yard strike on 83 minutes and Ashley Stevens who turned in a Luke Kennedy centre in the final minute added gloss to the Tulips' victory.
