Chenecks extended their winning run to four games as they completed a double over the struggling Lankies.

Shane Newman was the home matchwinner with a fourteen minute hat trick in the first round.

Newman scored after 11, 21 and 25 minutes and the home side's success was all but sealed at the break, Ciaran White adding a fourth for Chenecks ten minutes before the break.

Rushden & Higham rallied after the break to make the scoreline respectable. Dave Townsend opened the Lankies goal account after 48 minutes with Ben Lord adding a second for the visitors a minute past the hour mark.
