After starting the season with seven successive wins the Poachers crashed out of the FA Cup as Soham's powerful first half display won the day at Tattershall Road.
After playing over ten hours of league and cup football without a goal against them the Poachers conceded a seventh minute opener to Aaron Turner who fired home from 18 yards with the aid of a deflection off Paul Goodhand, and further goals from Darren Jimson after 32 minutes, a close range header, and Liam Ogden's own goal from Andy Furnell's shot two minutes later left the visitors in control.
Turner's second goal, a shot from the edge of the box after 72 minutes, completed the scoring.
