This convincing victory boosted Sleaford's survival bid as they claimed a first nap hand in the Premier.
Jamie Shaw gave Sleaford a second minute lead but Wootton went on to enjoy the better of the first half. A foul by Oliver Sidney handed them a chance to equalise but Krysztof Karpiuk failed from the spot. A lively end to the half brought mixed fortunes for the Lincolnshire club. It was smiles all round when doubled the lead with a header froma Shaw corner after 44 minutes, but in the dying seconds of the Shaun Popple was injured and required hospital treatment.
Krysztof Matieskiewicz put Blue Cross back in the game with a header six minutes after the restart.
A strong finish to the game saw Sleaford wrap up the win. Jason Sedlan restored the two goal margin on seventy minutes after beating two defenders, John Edwards made it four with a clever chip from a Paul Reece pass seven minutes later and Liam Kishere completed the scoring after 80 minutes, slotting home after a good run by fellow substitute Myles Hunter.
