Star moved up to fourth place in Division One after completing a double over the injury hit Badgers.

It took just 47 seconds for the Peterborough visitors to take the lead at Birds Close, former England under 21 cap Chris Plummer scoring his first Star goal after Paul Hill won a corner in the air.

A goalline clearance by Eddie Patten preserved the visitors advantage and eading scorer Kark Gibbs scored a second for Star after 25 minutes, heading in Phil Anderson's cross from the right.
