Boston Town  3    Wootton Blue Cross  2

Saturday, 09 February 2008

Veteran marksman Gary Bull scored at the end of each half to give Boston the edge against a struggling visiting outfit.

Gary Nimmo's second goal in two games, a close range effort from a Matt Price corner, gave Boston a 21st minute lead, but Wootton replied eight minutes later through Nick Love who fired home from the edge of the box after latching on to a Damon Hazlewood pass and cutting in from the right.

Bull restored the Poachers' lead in the dying seconds of the half, heading in a Matt Kennedy free kick, but Blue Cross equalised five minutes into the second period through Krysztof Matieskiewicz who hit the target from 15 yards.

A valuable point slipped through Wootton's grasp at the death as Bull netted his 24th goal of the season in the final minute to win the match for Boston. A clever lob over stranded keeper Dan Rogers saw the veteran striker win the contest for the Poachers.
