Roman Glass took advantage of being the only game in their Division and move into second place in the table, one point behind leaders Cadbury Heath, following their 11:1 win over struggling Fry Colts. After not having a game the previous week Glass knew they had to put in a strong performance against Fry's, to regain their interest in the title chase. They succeeded in doing this in emphatic style after hitting Fry's for eleven. The first goal came from a brilliant left-footed Mike Tanner volley and this was quickly followed with a finish from striker Kevin Williams after a well worked move. Fry's did grab a conciliation goal however the sides went into the break with Glass 6-1 up with further goals for Roman Glass from Darren Werrett, Lee Knight, Ed Brown and a second for Kevin Williams. Roman Glass entered the second half of the game as it were still 0-0 and went on the hit Fry's for a further five goals which come from Kevin Williams (his hat-trick), Rob Smale, Lee Knight picking up his second, Scott Mann and Jack Cummins. |
