The Doughboys extended their winning sequence to five games with this Carters Park success and their promotion aspirations are beginning to revive.

After a goalless first half which saw both Jon Mitchell and Alfie Taylor hit the woodwork for the visitors, Vinny Shrieves gave Wellingborough a 47th minute lead after Nicky Conroy in the home goal parried a Mitchell shot, and they went further in front eleven minutes later through old warhorse Tim Wooding who slotted home a penalty after Dean Elston fouled Mitchell.

Substitute Antonio Pascu scored Holbeach's last minute consolation from an Ian Dunn pass.
