Raunds Town  2    Long Buckby  3

Saturday, 02 February 2008

A last gasp win kept Buckby in the title hunt as their hosts slipped to a fifth game without victory.

A lively start saw Jon Crockett give Buckby a fourth minute lead with a header from a Chris Davies shot, but the visitors' advantage was cancelled out by a James Willmott reply five minutes later after Scott Manning's effort was blocked.

Former Buckby man Danny Frid missed a couple of good openings against his former club.

Darren Lynch's first Buckby goal after 21 minutes restored the visitors' advantage following good work by Ryan Nash and Crockett but Raunds responded with a 35th minute equaliser from Manning.

With a draw looking certain Crockett's second goal of the afternoon from long distance a minute into stoppage time secured all three points for the Bucks.
