Saturday, 02 February 2008

Corinths got the better of the 2007 runners up to make it an all Division One final in the Junior Cup.

Andy White was closest to breaking the first half deadlock when his header from a Kevin Fox flick on grazed the visiting crossbar.

Dave Briffa gave Rothwell the lead ten minutes into the second half after a good build up involving Tony Ielapi and Chris Torrence but Kislingbury levelled after 65 minutes through Danny Hindley from a free kick.

Tom Judge volleyed against the post from a Tom Johnson free kick as Corinths stepped up a gear.

With ten minutes remaining Dan Morris scored the vital goal to put Corinths into the final. Fox's header was flicked on by John Boss and Ielapi's pass picked out Morris to finish from close range.

Corinths: Tom Cross, Chris Dunn, Tom Judge, Lee Deacon (Jason Singh), Kev Fox, Phil Cox, Tom Johnson, Tony Ielapi, Dave Briffa (John Boss), Andy White, Chris Torrence (Dan Morris).
