Tuesday, 29 January 2008

Bottom placed AFC Kempston were seconds away from one of the upsets of the season at Hillgrounds but skipper Will Fordham saved St Ives' blushes with a last minute equaliser.

Scott Fielding gave St Ives the lead after 42 minutes, but the Walnut Boys responded with an equaliser from Paul Teague in the first minute of the second half.

The Saints were quick to regain the initiative with Jason King scoring their second goal after 49 minutes.

Kieron Wills scored a second Kempston leveller on the hour and thirteen minutes later the home side took a shock lead through Matt Cheveralls.
