Boston Town  1    Long Buckby  7

Saturday, 21 April 2012

A second big win on their travels in the space of four days left Long Buckby needing four points from their last two games to clinch a first top flight title.

Richard Bunting's 23rd minute penalty, awarded for a foul on Russ Dunkley by home keeper Chris Wright, set the ball rolling for the Bucks.

Mark Hewitt doubled the visiting lead six minutes before half time, shooting into the bottom corner after a free kick picked him out.

Two Fazel Koriya goals after 51 and 55 minutes eased Buckby further clear of their hosts. His first saw him beat three defenders before rounding Wright and he took a return pass from Dunkley to score his second.

Dunkley's 36th goal of the season, a header from a right wing delivery after 68 minutes, made it five for the visitors.

Tom Ruck scored a Poachers consolation with twelve minutes remaining, firing home from the right side of the box.

Buckby's response was two more goals from Michael Byrne after 80 and 90 minutes, taking his season's goal tally to 31. The substitute's first goal was a volley from an Ollie Wilkinson ball over the defence and his second a header from Rob Foster's centre.
