AFC Kempston Rovers  0    Stotfold  8

Saturday, 26 January 2008

The Eagles couldn't quite repeat their nine goal haul in the earlier abandoned game, but this emphatic victory left them six points clear at the head of the Premier Division.

Paul Garrett gave Stotfold the lead after three minutes, converting Ricky Case's right wing cross and they extended the lead after 24 minutes through Case who shot under the keeper from a Tawhid Juneja pass. Lee Allinson added a third three minutes later direct from a free kick after Paul Donnelly was fouled and the half time margin was four goals, Dan Douglas scoring after 43 minutes with a header from a Case cross.

Garrett took his season's tally to 16 goals with a 65th minute effort, firing in after Allinson's cross was headed down by Douglas, and Juneja was denied by a Neil Chance goalline clearance.

Stotfold added three more gals to their tally in the last quarter of an hour of the game.

Substitute Callum Donnelly's 75th minute goal, aided by a deflection off home defender Paul Teague, made it six with Douglas scoring his second four minutes later after Allinson's shot was parried by Walnut Boys goalkeeper Chrs Williscroft.

Joel Mason put his name on the scoresheet after 83 minutes, heading in a Callum Donnelly corner to complete a big win for Stotfold.
