Boston Town  2    Stotfold  2

Saturday, 12 January 2008

A goal deep into stoppage time kept Stotfold in pole position after Boston threatened to replace them at the summit.

Joel Mason gave Stotfold the lead after 39 minutes, latching to a Louis Lee header and chipping the ball over home keeper Bart Griemink but Paul Goodhand's reply direct from a free kick on the stroke of half time squared the contest.

When veteran striker Gary Bull put the Poachers in front from close range after 74 minutes Boston looked set to reclaim top slot, but Lee Allinson's point saver in the sixth minute of stoppage time kept Stotfold on top.The home defence could only half clear a corner and Paul Garrett's centre picked out Allinson whose back header found the home net.
