Tuesday, 27 March 2012

The Lankies completed a double to move into the top four of Division One.

Buckingham paid the penalty for missed chances after having much the better of the first half.

The home side were brighter on resumption with Ryan Kalla's header from a corner blocked on the line.

Craig Harrower gave Rushden & Higham the lead  with a dipping shot from the edge of the box on the hour and the Lankies doubled their advantage seven minutes later through Tyler Merries, who charged down keeper Zac Wade's clearance.

The crossbar denied Merries another Lankies goal.

Ben Shepherd replied for the Robins a quarter of an hour from time.
