Long Buckby  1    St Ives Town  2

Saturday, 05 January 2008

It was unlucky thirteen for Buckby as a late goal ended their twelve match unbeaten run and kept St Ives very much in the ttle race.

Jon Crockett gave the Bucks a thirteenth minute advantage, pouncing to slot home after a Carl Holmes shot was saved, only for the Saints to level five minutes later through in form striker Scott Fielding who volleyed in at the far post from a Craig Smith free kick.

With the game looking set to finish in a stalemate Jason King struck with an 88th minute St Ives winner, advancing forward on the right and cutting inside to score from long range.
