Huntingdon outgunned their hosts to take the points at Alfred Street.

James Edwards gave Huntingdon the lead after ten minutes, Michael Duroe the provider, and they took a grip on the game with two further goals. Alyou Coaney doubled their lead after 25 minutes with a well worked goal and Chris Caswell made it three ten minutes later with an overhead kick from a corner.

Craig Sturgess replied for the Romans with a speculative lob four minutes before the interval but the visitors restored their three goal lead six minutes into the second half with Coaney's second of the afternoon from close range.

Mark Dudley converted a 65th minute penalty for Irchester after a foul by Mark Hackewtt and they cut the deficit further five minutes later through Ben Hyams' impressive strike.

Edwards clinched victory for Huntingdon nine minutes from the end, racing from his own half before firing home from the edge of the box.
