United halted a three match losing run to revive their promotion bid, in the process tearing up the formbook and ending Town's six match unbeaten run.

Top scorer Tommy Waldock gave Daventry the lead after eleven minutes but the interval scores were level thanks to a 35th minute leveller from Glen Turner, who headed home from close range for Thrapston.

Joel Young's 65th minute goal gave United all three points, the marksman scoring at the second attempt after his initial effort was parried by John Kyte..
