Boston will enter the new year as Premier Division leaders after avenging their early season defeat by the Royals, who now occupy the second relegation position after an eighth defeat in nine outings.

Potton made a great start, taking a fourth minute lead through Matt Endersby, but veteran Gary Bull levelled from the penalty spot thirteen minutes later after Neal Spafford was fouled.

Boston took charge with two goals in two minutes. Spafford gave them the lead ten minutes before the break after being set up by Garath Pritchard and Bull extended the visiting advantage two minutes later, tapping in Paul Goodhand's corner from close range.

Sam Worthington replied for Potton with a header five minutes after the restart.
