Sileby picked up their first win in ten games to open up a four point lead over the bottom two.
With Huntingdon third in the morning table this has to go down as an upset.
Huntingdon had the best of the first half with James Edwards, the Caswell brothers and Richard Moore all missing good openings.
Lewis Haycock scored the decisive goal five minutes before the interval finishing off a speedy Sileby break.
With the wind at their backs Rangers enjoyed the better of the second half possession but were unable to add to their tally.
