Saturday, 08 September 2007

Buckby bounced back from a midweek cup drubbing to win in the league for the first time this term.

The Wakes were first on the scoresheet through John Currall  who lobbed home from a Mark Lovelace pass after eleven minutes, but Ben Foster's 18th minute spot kick, awarded for Currall's foul on Jason Lee, restored parity.

Foster gave Buckby a 57th minute lead from a Ryan Nash cross but another penalty award, given for a foul on substitute Mark Jones, gave Jason Gough the opportunity to level for the Wakes after 73 minutes.

The visitors had goalkeeper Martyn Margarson sent off for violent conduct but debutant Jason Lee marked his arrival from Cogenhoe with Buckby's 86th minute winner after Nash's quick throw picked out Richard Bunting.
