Division One

Whitworths  3    Buckingham Town  3

Saturday, 22 December 2007

A last minute equaliser gave Division One champions Whitworths a share of the spoils in this topsy turvy game at London Road which ended with both sides drawing for the fourth game running.

The Flourmen made a great start, taking a seventh minute lead through James Daldy's tenth goal of the season, and ten minutes later the champions extended their advantage through Cavell Jarvis.

Robins top scorer Joel McCormick started the visiting fightback a minute past the hour and nine minutes later his tenth goal of the campaign tied the match up.

With ten minutes to play it looked like all three points were heading south as Jamie O'Grady put Buckingham in front, but Devon Ellwood popped up with a last minute equaliser for Whitworths, who slip to third place in the league chart.
