GOALS, GOALS, GOALS.

Quoting that old football cliché ‘it was a game of two half’s’. The first half started off with Eynsham taking an early lead with a well taken solo goal by Seth Osborne. Stonesfield pulled their socks up and got the ball down to started to play football, scoring the three goals on the bounce; the first by Daiane Crockford, with a quick turn and a shot finding the bottom corner from just inside the box; the second by Pete Miller, from a Stonesfield corner; and the third a well taken volley by Ryan Hunt. Eynsham got back in the game near the end of the first half, with some good passing hitting Stonesfield on the break with Eynsham’s danger man Seth Osborne scoring from an acute angle.
Half time 3-2
The second half started off with a wonder goal from Gary Samuel, picking the ball up near the halfway line beating three or four Eynsham players and finishing off with a well placed shot that nestled in the bottom corner, 4 -2. Then the game flipped on its head, Stonesfield would say “it was an implosion” and Eynsham arguing that it was “great play”. Eynsham had done what Stonesfield did in the first half, score three unanswered goals. With goals from Eynsham’s centre back going on a David Luiz run breaking through the Stonesfield midfield line shooting from outside the box and finding the bottom corner. Seth Osborne completed his hat-trick. And Eynsham’s International signing Andnes Klasan, coming off the bench at half time to score a well worked goal that broke the Stonesfield offside trap and finished neatly.
