Tuesday, 11 December 2007

The Eagles won at Compton Park for the first time in fifteen years to strengthen their honours bid.

Cogenhoe's early pressure saw Rob Foster denied on three occasions by fine saves from Brad Gillham in the Eagles goal

Tawhid Juneja gave Stotfold the lead after 42 minutes, converting Lee Allinson's corner from close range, but the Cooks equalised two minutes after the restart through skipper Neil Champelovier who scored after a parry by Gillham.

Paul Garrett was the Eagles two goal matchwinner. He restored Stotfold's advantage after 53 minutes after good work by Louis Lee and Joel Mason and wrapped up the visitors' victory twenty minutes from time with a curling effort from the edge of the box.
