Cogenhoe United  2    Sleaford Town  1

Saturday, 01 December 2007

Sleaford's first visit to Compton Park saw their depleted side beaten and they now find themselves in the thick of a survival battle.

Rob Foster's 22nd goal of the season gave the Cooks a 26th minute lead after the striker outpaced the visiting defence, but they were pegged back by Jason Harrison's 50th minute equaliser, a header from a Jason Sedlan free kick.

The contest remained level for just a minute as Tom McGowan quickly restored the home advantage in a goalmouth scramble.

Late on a fine save by Darren Watts in the home goal denied Sleaford substitute Liam Kishere an equaliser.
