Stotfold  4    Desborough Town  1

Saturday, 01 December 2007

A powerful first half display saw Stotfold dismantle title rivals Desborough who were handed their second defeat of the season.

Ar Tarn were up against it after Danny Pownall was sent off ten minutes into the match.

Callum Donnelly gave the Eagles the lead after seventeen minutes with a great strike from the edge of the box and nine minutes later Lee Allinson added a second for Stotfold, glancing in Paul Donnelly's free kick.

When Joel Mason added number three for Stotfold, punishing a handling error by Michael Evans eight minutes before the break the outcome was all but settled.

Allinson completed the home tally with an 80th minute penalty awarded when Rob Maddox handled a Mark Bryant shot. Tom Mills scored an 86th minute Ar Tarn consolation, controlling a cross and rounding Brad Gillham to slot home.
