The Flourmen showed their battling qualities to earn a point after going two down in ten minutes.

United were quick out of the blocks and took the lead six minutes in with Tommy Waldock's tenth goal of the season. Four minutes later the pacy striker followed up with goal number eleven, a right foot volley to round off some flowing football.

Ian Symington started the Flourmen fightback after 28 minutes before Leigh Roberts restored United's two goal margin in the dying seconds of the first half with a 25 yard free kick.

Symington again reduced the arrears further eight minutes into the second half.

Devon Ellwood marked his return from Rothwell Corinthians with the 79th minute point saver for the champions.
