F.A. Vase
Round 2

Studley  4    Sleaford Town  1

Saturday, 17 November 2007

Sleaford's first FA Vase adventure came to an end in the West Midlands.

Jamie Shaw and Pete Sutton came close to giving Sleaford an early advantage.

Craig Pountney gave Studley the lead on the half hour converting a right wing cross from close range and they went further in front three minutes before the interval through Kieran Cross who punished Ollie Sidney's missed header.

A well taken Tom Siddons goal after 66 minutes put Sleaford back in the game but the disallowing of a Jamie Shaw effort for offside proved a turning point. Two late goals sealed the home side's progress, Jason Ramsey on target after with a header after 85 minutes and the game's final goal after 88 minutes.

Sleaford: Andy Scott, Matt Hodgkin (Jon Machin), Adam Fenton, Carl Sedlan (Matt Lunn), Darren Glover, Ollie Sidney, Pete Sutton, Jason Sedlan, Micky Stones (Tom Siddons), Jamie Shaw, Paul Reece
