Olney Town  4    Eynesbury Rovers  1

Saturday, 17 November 2007

Eynesbury traditionally struggle at East Street and this meeting was no exception as Olney scored four second half goals to take the points.

Alec Watts gave the Nurserymen a 49th minute advantage, cutting in from the right to score off the post, and Ian Lindop added a second goal for the home side two minutes later, smashing home a loose ball from close range.

Steve Foster outpaced Stuart Humphreys to score an 85th minute third for Olney prompting a late goal rush.

Humphreys put Rovers on the scoresheet with a 90th minute penalty , awarded for a foul on Tim Jolly by Jamie Harris, but there was still time for Olney to have the last word through Foster a minute into time added on with regular goalkeeper Andy Greenway the provider after coming on as an outfield substitute.
