Saturday, 08 September 2012

Sleaford broke their duck as the 2012 champions suffered another disappointing reverse, their fourth in six games.

Liam Tunstall put Sleaford in front after 40 minutes with a powerful strike from a Nathan Rawdon long throw but a second Tom Rawlings goal in successive games put the Bucks on terms a minute before half time, the striker collecting a through ball and rounding visiting keeper Andy Hewitt.

Tunsta;; restored the visiting lead with a 51st minute penalty awarded for a foul on him by home keeper Ash Malhotra, and Glen Maddison's first league win at the Sleaford helm was confirmed by Harry Millard's goal with twelve minutes remaining, the midfielder netting after a Richard Jackson free kick was headed back across goal by Joe Braithwaite.

Long Buckby: Ashley Malhotra, Brad Jones, Ashley Brown (Rob Clarke), Nathan Wills, Leo Adams, Sam Birtwistle, Mellantus Mallarkey (Craig Jackson), Gary Stohrer, Danny Rogers, Tom Rawlings, Louis Dupree.

Sleaford: Andy Hewitt, Nathan Rawdon, Steve Lovett, Kris Jones, Joe Braithwaite, Shaun Popple, Ash Murrell (Jamie Shaw), Richard Jackson, Ryan Oliver (Liam Tunstall), Harry Millard, Luke Hollingsworth (Lee Llewellyn).
