St Neots Town  3    Potton United  1

Tuesday, 13 November 2007

Two of the Saints management team were instrumental in turning this game St Neots' way at Rowley Park.

Early on Potton threatened with Nathan Frater and Shilbu Miah both denied an opening goal by the woodwork.

Potton's Frater continued his fine form in front of goal with the Royals' 65th minute opener, an opportunist strike from fully 40 yards but co-manager Ivan Finch levelled for St Neots eight minutes later, responding quickest to score after Joe Pursell saved a Steve Kuhne spot kick awarded for a foul on Barrington Belgrave by Royals player boss Dean Chapman.

Former Potton player and recently appointed Saints coach Kuhne put his side into a 76th minute lead, heading in Mark Franklin's cross via the post, and the veteran goalgrabber sealed victory for the home side five minutes from time after substitute Arin Fehmi's effort was parried by Pursell..
