Oadby Town  4    Wootton Blue Cross  1

Saturday, 08 September 2012

Oadby made it three wins from three games but had to show patience to get the better of a Wootton side still searching for its first victory.

Grant Williams gave Blue Cross the lead with a drilled shot after 23 minutes.

It took until the 63rd minute for Che Adams to put Town on terms with a first time shot after good work by Michael Reeve.

Thereafter Oadby took charge of proceedings, going ahead through Sam Benjamin's close range finish after 68 minutes.

Michael Reeve joined the spree after 72 minutes after being played through and leading scorer Jake Duffy completed the scoring with his fifth goal of the season, a ten yard chip, a quarter of an hour from time.

A foul on Mason Hirst gave Oadby the chance to add to their tally but Chris Woodward saved Duffy's spot kick.
