Last seasons runners up Boston made a winning start after overturning an early two goal deficit.
Cogenhoe's new signing from Whitworths Rob Foster showed his goalscoring prowess as the Cooks stormed out of the blocks. He opened the scoring after 14 minutes and four monutes later he added a second for the visitors.
Record marksman Gary Bull got the Poachers up and running two minutes before the half hour mark with good control matched by the finish, and the tide turned in Boston's favour after the break.
With seventeen minutes to play Jon Rowan equalised with a half volley from the edge of the box and two minutes from the end neal Spafford's strong run set up Rowan for the winner.
